British Blues

Champion: Mr William Martin’s heifer Springhill Goldengirl, from Newtownards, Co Down. Born in January 2011 she is sired by Gitan Du P’tit and out of Springhill Countrygirl.

Reserve: Keadyview Livestock’s Keadyview Gorgeous, from Coleraine, Co Londonderry. The July 2011-born heifer is sired by Harrison De Platte and out of Woodview Carol.

 

Beef Shorthorn

Champion: William and Jill McAllister’s heifer Burnside Francessca, born January 2012, and from Ballymena, Co Antrim.

Reserve: Thomas Madden’s Ballyvaddy Heathermaid, from Ballymena, Co Antrim. Born in April 2011 she is sired by Chapelton Yardley and out of Chapelton Heathermaid.

 

Dexters

Champion: Bruce Hill Cattle Company’s Ballyhartfield Bonnie, from Ballyclare, Co Antrim. This September 2009-born cow was shown with her calf at foot and is sired by Bunlougher Squirrel and out of Hillhead Black Beauty.

Reserve: Montgomery and McClenaghan’s Ballyloughan Faberge, from Comber, Co Down. Born in April-2012 this heifer is sired by Moomin Jupiter and is out of Ballyloughan Amber.

 

Eurpoean Angus

Champion: David Lester’s Aughnaguran Erica, of Keady, Armagh. Born in January 2012 she is sired by Cavanbellaghy Eric and out of Aughnagurgan Erica.

Reserve: Hugh Dickinson’s Bluebell Bank Labyrinth, of Newtownards, Co Down. Sired by Lisola Lord Jasper this young bull is out of Bannside Black Lady Red.

 

Aberdeen Angus

Champion: James Porter’s Old Glenort Lavender, of Lisburn, Co Antrim. Sired by Old Glenort Ennis this heifer is out of Old Glenort Laverder.

Reserve: Alan Morrison’s Drummer Blackbird, of Maguiresbridge, Co Fermanagh. Sired byNetherallan Peter Pershore she is out of Knockadrinan Blackbird.

 

Hereford

Champion: JE, RI and W Haire’s Dorepoll 1 262L Sally, of Crumlin, Co Antrim. Sired byRemittall Olympian Dorepoll this heifer is out of Remittall Sale 63M.

Reserve: James Graham’s Richmount 1 Hermes, of Portadown, Co Armagh. Sired by Graceland 1 Colin two-year-old bull is out of Richmount 1 Blossom.

 

Charolais

Champion: Gilbert Crawford’s Sportsman Columbo, of Maghera, Co Londonderry. Sired by Thrunton Voldemort he is out of Sportsman Regal.

Reserve: Patrick Gallagher’s Rumsden Fawkes, of Maghera, Derry. This one is also sired by Thrunton Voldemort and out of Rumsden Avalon.

 

Simmental

Champion: JJ and CJ Weatherup’s Silvercoe Caroline, of Ballyckare, Co Antrim. Sired by Kilbride Farm Newry this heifer is out of Clonagh Willow.

Reserve: Garrett Behan’s Clonagh Absolutely Fabulous, of Laois. Sired by Banwy T-Rex and out of Cloneygowan Shania Babe.

 

Limousin

Last year’s interbreed champion is back on top form. Winning the breed championship was Millbrook Ginger Spice, exhibited by William Smith of Oldcastle, Meath. Sired by Willodge Vantastic she is out of Milbrook Baby.

 

In reserve stood William McAllister’s Artnagullion Hanna, from Kells, Ballymena. Sired by Virgina Andy she is out of Teeshan Evanoush.

 

British Blonde

Champion: Savage Bros and Son’s Shanvalley Grace, from Co Down,

sired by Seaview Barney and out of Shanvalley Bambi.

Reserve: McCabe Brothers and Savage Brother and Sons’ Shanvalley Fighter, from Co Down, sired by Seaview Barney and out of Applecroft Breeze.

Irish Moiled

Champion: Samuel Smiley’s two-year-old heifer Glassdrummond Cherry, sired by Clandeboye Ruairi and out of Glassdrummond Cherry.

Reserve: Valerie Orr’s Knowehead Lily, sired by Maymore Red Hugh and out of Glassdrummond Lily 12^th.  She was shown with her November 2012-born calf at foot.
