Beef Expo 2012: Longhorn heifer scoops native championship

Judging is underway here at the National Spring Spectatular Show at the Beef Expo at the Three Counties Showground, Malvern.

Yesterday saw the judging of the native classes, with the championship title awarded to a Longhorn heifer.  Weighing in at 598kg, Gupworthy Kiss, was shown by Mr & Mrs G Woollatt, Gupworthy Farm, Wheddon Cross, Minehead, Somerset.
In reserve was a Lincoln Red heifer – Hemingby Treasure – from Mr Michael Read, Brook House, Hemingby, Horncastle, Lincs.  This one weighed in at 574kg.
