Beef judge Peter Donger, Northamptonshire said the Limousin was the winner in his mind as he was smooth fleshed, had good locomotion, breed character and wasn’t too extreme, He also said the Simmental was a good example of its breed but wasn’t quite as good as the Limousin on locomotion.

Supreme Junior Champion was taken by the Saler bull  Beeston Hall Corky from Rcahel and Stephen Hallos, West Yorkshire. By Poldean Daffy and out of Beeston Hall Amelia this one may be sold next week at Welshpool spring Saler sale or may travel on to the Great Yorkshire Show and Cheshire.
