Top call of the day went to Howemill Shimmer, a served heifer from Sir Martin Arbib. The pre-sale show saw Messrs Booth and Bell’s two-year-old Bull, Crackley Marvel take the male and overall championship before going on to sell for 1,580gns to Mr N Box, Ledbury.

Bulls were in demand at the sale with Hillfield Expo a two-year-old bull from Mrs Y Long, Dereham, Norfolk, selling at 1,900gns to the National Trust, Woolbeding Estate, West Sussex.  GM and DAR Finch travelled from Haverfordwest with their six-year-old bull Crossfield Rufus, who sold to Melsop Farming, Scoulton, Norwich for 1,800gns.
