The Border and Lakeland Show and Sale, Carlisle followed by Part 1 of the Seabreeze dispersal on behalf of WR and J Leak and Son saw demand for fresh cows and heifers continuing to grow as producers strive to compensate for the shortfall in production and aim to make the most of the continuing flurry of milk price rises.
The Show judged by James Pattinson form the Ellengrove herd saw the overall champion go to Logan Mammoth Ricki consigned by Brian and Michael Yates, Castle Douglas. She was sired by Emmark Mammoth and bred from a great line of cows from the highly respected Calbrett Astro Ricki family.
