First results from Day Two of Livestock 2014 at NEC has seen Brown Swiss judge Jim Westway place the calf Kedar Rhapsody from T Lochhead & Sons as his class winner ahead of Farrick Jongleur Ellie from J & C West. “If I was allowed I’d write a cheque to take calves like these home with me,” said the judge.
In the British Friesian classes judge Tom Cope selected Oakalby Quadrant Glossy 28 from ES Burroughs & Son ahead of Lismulligan Priscilla 48 from B Lawson & Son. “My winner has a good depth of rib, walks well and will turn out to be a good milk heifer,” he commented.
