Cookstown Limousin dispersal tops at E5800
Limousin females hit a top of E5800 at Roscrea, Eire, last Saturday when Oonagh McLoughan dispersed the Cookstown herd. Leading the way and one of four which are belived to have headed across the Irish Sea to Dumfries with Breconside Farming was Dauphin daughter Cookstown Tara. This one is out of Cookstown Irene, a Fabien daughter and sold with a Cloverland Viking calf at foot having calved in March.
Next top call at E5000 came when Rose Brennan dug deep to secure October 2001-born Cookstown Sambuca. This one is again by Dauphin and is out of Ballysorrell Enya, a Vesoul daughter. She sold with a Croverland Viking sired heifer calf at foot.
Then at E3600 was Cookstown Aleah, a March 2005-born daughter of Domino out of Dauphin-sired dam Cookstown Pepsi. She also sold with a Cloverland King heifer calf at foot. She sold to Francis King.
A brace sold at E3500, the first of which was May 2000-born Cookstown Rita, another Dauphin daughter sold with a Scorboro Regius heifer calf at foot and in-calf again to Cookstown Villy. This one was bought by G Mulholland.
The second at this level was Cookstown Alicia a Meridien daughter out of a homebred dam by Hortensia. Sold with a Requin daughter at foot she joins Roy Mitten. Close behind this one at E3450 was Cookstown Stacey another Domino daughter. Out of Fabien daughter Cookstown Kirwin she sold with a March-born Cloverland Viking calf at foot.
And at E3300 Henry Savage bought October 2006-born Cookstown B1425, a Cookstown Villy daughter with Mas Du Clo in her pedigree and out of Cookstown Nuala, a Ballysorrell Fashionabull daughter. She sold with a Haltcliffe Hercules daughter at foot.
For E3250 Frances King bought Cookstown Valerie, another Dauphin daughter. Born in January 2004, this one also sold with a Cloverland King calf at foot.
