Dungannon Aberdeen-Angus hit 4000gns
Top call at yesterday’s sale of Aberdeen-Angus at Dungannon was a 4000gns sale for the champion from the pre-sale show, Dalriada Thadeus from Alan and Naomi Morrision, Maguiresbridge. This is a Nakkeg Nord 913 son out of Dalriada Tadhall, a Darlene Cruz daughter. Buyer of this one was David Torrens, Carvagh, Co Londonderry.
Next best price at 2700gns was third prize bull Railview Province from Marcus and Norman Rutledge, Omagh. This Netherton Eastern Cruz son if out of Railview Penny, a Maine Dragon daughter. He sold to A Downard, Markethill, Co Amagh.
Making 2000gns was Sherrybrooke Pride, an April-2008 son of Rawburn Transformer. This one from Robert Johnston, is out of Old Glenort Peggy, a Gigginstown The Conqueror daughter. Buying this one was Alex Gordon, Five Mile Town.
Then at 1900gns was Cavanbellaghy Elvis a Liss Best Man son from Robert Steenson, Co Armagh. He was bought by S and H Cleland, Downpatrick.
In the females on offer the top call was another from the Morrisons, female champion Fingerpost Mayflower. Bred by Adrian and Sandra Irvine, she is a Grangemore Macelix daughter out of a Netherton Eastern Cruz sired dam. This one sold at 3500gns to Ken Woodside, Islandmagee.
Second top was the reserve female champion Hilview Pretty Iris from Adrian Richardson.
This Jeremy Eric of Bridgefoot daughter is out of Idvies Proud Irene and sold to Francis and Eugene McGirr, Eniskillen. (Dungannon Farmers Mart).
