Early Bringlee British Blue lots set trade alight

As promised here is some news from today’s Bringlee British Blue sale at Carlisle. Trade has certainly got into its stride early with the fith lot in the ring, Bringlee Collette, making 7000gns.

Collette is by Cajoleur De Rettigny and out of the famous Bringlee cow Bringlee Sandy. This ET bred heifer is May 2007 born and carries a pedigree breeding index of +10. She was claimed by C R Raine and Sons, Middleton in Teesdale.

But it was the next lot in the ring, Bringlee Cherry, another Sandy daughter, but this time by Baron Du Bois, and my personal favourite from the photos in the catalogue, that set the trade alight, making 11,000gns. Buying this one was A Phillips, Reading , Berkshire.
