East of England: Dicken’s take another class

The crossbreds are now dominating the ring. Native heifer and native steer judging has just taken place and with only three entries in the native heifer class, it was Brailes Livestock consisting of Rachel Wyllie and Richard Hassale, that took first place with their Angus cross, Black Diamond weighing in at 542kg. In reserve it was J and W Laight with their South Devon cross, Badger weighing 614kg.

 

It was another win for Mike and Jean Dickens in the native steer class. This time it was with his 483kg South Devon cross, Foscote, shown by daughter Emma. In reserve was M A and L H Richardson with Mervin, a South Devon cross, weighing 654kg.
