English Winter Fair: Pokemon reigns supreme in baby beef

There were no surprises in the baby beef championship when Pokemon from the Michael, Melanie and Charlotte Alford, Devon reigned supreme. This one has had a flying success this season winning every beef championship class he has been in this year including Countryside Live, Agri Expo and now the English Winter Fair.

Pokemon heads next to the Scottish Winter Fair, Welsh Winter Fair, where he will be sold as well as The East of England Winter Fair incorporating Smithfield.

The judge John Peckitt, Thirsk, North Yorkshire said “Pokemon was as good as perfect with a good body, legs and was a very classy show animal.”

In reserve was Brian Lawson and Rachel Wilkinson with their homebred Limousin x heifer Lulu. This one came fourth at Countryside Live and is not heading anywhere else this season.
