Entrants sought for best pig industry trainee

BPEX is calling for nominations from the pig industry for its 2013 Trainee of the Year award.

It is open to all English pig-unit personnel who can show how training is benefiting both their career and livestock performance on their unit; nominations are welcome from experienced individuals and newcomers to the industry.

BPEX skills manager Samantha Bowsher says: “The award is about recognising personal development and the practical skills acquired through training. It is really motivating, not only for entrants and their employers, but also for the industry as a whole.”

The winner will receive a cash prize, a training grant, an engraved trophy and a night in London to attend the presentation event.
