Fedneyhouse Limousin report
Here’s the report a few of you have been waiting from the Fedneyhouse sale, it’s taken a while to get hold of, but thanks to the Lim Society here it is.
Topping the sale at 14,000gns was the herd’s French stock sire Ulm. By Mas Du Clo and out of Dauphin daughter Nivelle he sold to Paedar Hughes of Killyman, Dungannon, for his recently established Hawthorne herd.
Then at 11,000gns was French cow Alrance, a Highlander daughter sold with Ulm sired heifer calf Fedneyhouse Elrance at foot and in calf again to Ulm. She also went to Mr Hughes.
At 5500gns was Fedneyhouse Armelle a Millbrook Tanko daughter out of Lumbylaw Nellie. She sold in calf to Nebo Amazon, again to Mr Hughes. And her daughter Fedneyhouse Vanrose was secured for the Hawthorne herd at 5200gns. She’s an Ocean daughter.
At the same money was Fedneyhouse Vanity an Opus daughter. She also sold to Mr Hughes, who then went on to pay 5000gns for her December born heifer calf Divia, an Ulm daughter.
At 4800gns was the top in the in-calf heifers Fedneyhouse Chloe,a May 2007-born Ulm daughter in-calf to Haltcliffe Underwriter. She sold to the Rodgers family, Ballynahinch. And the same buyers took the next best at 4500gns. This was Fedneyhouse Chanel, a Liveral-Mn daughter out of Fedneyhouse Vanrose.
Selling for 2400gns was the best of the maiden heifers, Fedneyhouse Caitlyn. This one was Fedneyhouse Debutante a June 2008-born Ulm daughter.
