Second in that class went to John Smith Jackson’s British Blue cross Wor Geordie, a 283kg entry, while third went to K Hurst with her British Blue sired 229kg entry Banjo.
In the heavier of the two steer classes Willie Orme took top honours with his pure Limousin entry Red Bull, this one weighed in at 334kg and was born in January. Second spot went to F Jones and Son with their Limousin sired Big Phil, while third place went to Sussex based Jason and Sarah Wareham with the Limousin cross British Blue steer Marmiute, this one weighs 371kg.
