First Huddlesford Holstein highlight
Unfortunately, I can’t be at the Huddlesford dispersal sale today, however, I’ve got a spy at the ringside to keep me up to date with the highlights.
First to break the 5000gns barrier and selling at 5200gns was Huddlesford Double Kitty (lot 34), a Mesland Duplex daughter out of Huddlesford Champion Kitty, herself a Calbrett-I H H Champion daughter.
This second calver gave 8827kg in her first lactation and calved her second in November, giving 789kg in the first 17 days of that lactation. She is the fifth generation of Ex or VG cows, classifying as VG88. Then at the same money was her heifer calf, an uncatalogued lot.
