First Northern Irish native breeds championship results

The inaugural Native Breeds Championship held at Portadown, Co Armagh, last weekend saw a wealth of entries from the province’s Aberdeen-Angus, Beef Shorthorn and Hereford breeders.

Leading the way in the interbreed championship was the Angus leader, 2009-born heifer Knoackadrina Belle from the Matchett family’s Birches herd.Angus.jpgReserve overall was the Hereford champion, Solpool 1 Dynamite from John and William McMordie.
