Goldwyn daughter leads Sedgemoor dairy dispersal

Topping last Saturday’s dispersal for Dennis Norman at Sedgemoor was a 2250gns for a Braedale Goldwyn daughter that had just calved to her third. With 60% of the cows sold in their fourth to ninth lactations a large crowd made most of the opportunity to purchase proven cows that calve throughout the year.

Selling at 2000gns was the first lot in the ring, a February second calver by Whittier-Farms Kenrik which sold to a Welsh buyer.

Heifers by a homebred bull and due to calve at the end of August onwards to a Limousin bull sold to 1280gns.

Averages; cows ÂŁ1152, served heifers ÂŁ1180 (Greenslade Taylor Hunt).
