Goldwyn daughters hitting highs of 12,000gns

The dosh is still rolling at the Sale for the Century, with Goldwyn daughters in the money. With 87 lots catalogued, there’s bound to be further high prices commanded.

 

12,000gns is the latest paid for a Braedale Goldwyn daughter. Homland A Goldwyn Pledge forward by S L and Ps Bell and G Kirby is by Braedale Goldwyn and out of Alh Poly. This February 2009 heifer has a PLI+ÂŁ167 and is bred from five successive generations of cows classified excellent or very good. Buying this one was Mr Hesket, Yorkshire.

 Two bids of 10,000gns have gone under the hammer this afternoon, the first for another Goldwyn daughter, Huddlesford Golden Pardise from T H Cope and Son. By Braedale Goldwyn this June 2009 animal is out of Stanhope Sepetmber Paradise and has a PLI+ÂŁ162. She sold to Mr Philipson.

 

10,000gns was also the money paid for an unborn calf- first choice of seven pregnancies due October and November this year. From the dam Majestic Shottle Leona forward from I and K Watson. This sold to Distinctive Holsteins.

 

Next to go under the hammer was Aintree Advent Rae Red. By KHW Kite Advent Red and out of Scientific DEJA VUE Rae, this February 2009 born heifer is forward by Aintree Holsteins. She sold at 9000gns to Richard Atkin.
