Good seasonal entry of store cattle at Kington
McCartneys reported a good seasonal entry of store cattle together with cows and heifers with calves at foot, in calf cows, feeding bulls and cows for their December sale this week.
The sale of store cattle met a very good trade which has remained level over the past few weeks due to buoyant livestock prices nationally and all the store cattle entered averaged ÂŁ910 a head.
All cattle were in good demand by several buyers which were present and some buyers went home without purchasing due to the excellent level of trade.
The feeding bulls were also an exceptional trade with bulls topping ÂŁ870 a head.
The feeding cows continue to sell exceptionally well and many more could have been sold to advantage.
