Great day for Woodmarsh at Wexham Cup
Michael and Jean Gould and son Michael had a great day at the annual Wexham Cup show and sale at
Top call came for Woodmarsh Zero, a Gillette Jordan son out of the Outside-sired 16,287kg cow Woodmarsh Zoey. Zero sells to Breeze Farms Ltd, Pembrokeshire. The Gould’s Shropshire-based herd also collected the reserve bull championship with Woodmarsh Lisbon, a Gillette Windbrook son out of the Jolt-sired seventh calver Woodmarsh Jolt Lyme 4th who topped at 16,900 litres. Buyer at 4300gns was C B Cooper Partnership for their Noremead herd at
The champion bull ticket also went to the Gould family with Woodmarsh Linford. This Windbrook son is out of Woodmarsh Lou Lyme 48th – a Jenny-Lou Marshall daughter. Buyer was Andrew Davies, Newcastle Emlyn.
The day also included the Northern Lights collective sale of females and brought more success for the Woodmarsh herd who led the trade at 5600gns with Woodmarsh Jordan Zandra 4th. Out of Woodmarsh Zoey – dam of the top priced bull – she was bought by Wilfred Maddocks Ltd,
