Great Yorkshire Show 2012: British Rouge wins for 2nd year
Taking the title of supreme overall sheep champion for the second year in a row was a British Rouge four crop ewe from Percy Tait, Broughton Manor, Worcester.
Shown by Will Price, this homebred ewe is by Knighton Bozy and out of Simon Wragg’s ewe Cindy. Today’s win follows on from taking the same title at the same fixture last year. The Taits are now considering taking her on to the Royal Welsh Show in two week’s time.
Homebred, this one is by Synton Simba and out of a hombred ewe by the Duke, whose mother was reserve interbreed champion in 2007 and overall interbreed champion in 2008. Messrs Thomson now plan to take her on to the Border Union Agricultural Show at the end of the month.
