Hampshire Down Flock of the Year Award open for entries

Entries are now open for the 2012 Hampshire Down Sheep Breeders’ Association and Caltech Flock of the Year Award.

All producers using a registered Hampshire Down sire within their flock will be eligible to enter the award with £1,000 worth of Caltech products at stake.

Flock entries will be judged on management, health status and marketing, and in particular the performance of their Hampshire Down sired lambs.

Entries close on 14 May and judging will take place in June by NSA chief executive, Phil Stocker. The award will be officially presented to the four finalists at NSA Sheep 2012, Malvern on 4 July.

Further information and entry forms can be obtained from Richard Davis on 01494 488388.
