Heifer tops Bentham dairy show at £2,450


Semex Dairy 020113 008 webjpg.jpgAn entry of 36 Newly Calved Dairy Cattle was forward at the annual New Year Semex Dairy Show held at Bentham Auction Mart.


Judge, Stephen Robinson of the Longstar Herd from Burton in Lonsdale awarded champion prize to Messrs P and D Knowles of the Kendalcragg Herd from Kendal for their newly calved heifer by Moet Melody. She sold to George Mitchell of Skelton for £2,300.


Messrs J and M Robinson of the Kelletview Herd from Nether Kellet took the reserve champion honours with their pedigree heifer Kelletview Whats Up Blondy. She topped the sale at £2,450 and went home with Tony Hunter of Berrier.
