Holstein heifers hit 2900gns at Carlisle
A Regancrest-Mr Samuelo daughter sold for the top price of 2900gns at this month’s Pedigree dairy sale at Borderway Mart.
This one was from the popular Kimo family and was sold by J C Bellerby, Weeton, Huby to E M and
Two heifers shared the next best price of 2600gns. The first of which was Holmland Starboy Princess by Roselund-View Black Starboy and out of Holmland Out Princess.
She was one of a milky consignment from Messrs S L and P Bell, Bowscar, Penrith and sold to A and C Robertson, Rothsay,
Messrs Robertson also bought Mossrigg Shottle Jeanne, a three week calved Picston Shottle daughter out of Mossrigg Veron Jeanne for the same money.
At 2500gns was Nethervale Marker Papoose by Indianhead Red Marker and out of Brigeen-N Black Jed. She was sold by Messrs W Scott and Co, Largs, to an undisclosed buyer.
Three entries sold for the next highest price of 2400gns. Mr Bellerby, sold two at this money. The first of his was Weetondale Shottle Iolanthe, by Picston Shottle and out of Weetondale Lily Iolanthe. The second was Painley Delightful Roxetta, by Cleevale Delightful and out of Painley Kingfisher Roxetta 6.
NewHeaton Holsteins, New Heaton, Cornhil-on-Tweed also sold Newheaton Shottle Mitzy to Messrs Robertson. This one was by Picston Shottle and out of Nethervale Empire Elsie.
At 2250gns was Stowbeck Stig Nina 2, by Petteril Stig and out of Stowbeck Manat Nina. She was sold by Skirwith Hall Farms, Penrith to J T and E M Marrs and Son,
