Holstein is Suffolk Show dairy winner

Holstein breeder Simon Dain was celebrating in the dairy rings this morning, winning the interbreed with his second calved cow Foxhole Duplex Pamela, a Hesland Duplex daughter. This one, calved in November last year, is still giving 40kg a day having given 10,05kg in her heifer lactation and is predicted to give 12,000ks this time. She is due to calve again in early November.

Standing reserve to her was the Ayrshire champion, a West Mossgiel Star daughter from Robert Crawford. This one was Moorside Marie 7. She calved in October last year.
