Inauguaral Beltex lambs sale tops £150 at Thainstone

Last week’s inaugural Beltex lambs show and sale at Thainstone, Inverurie, saw a top price of £150 achieved.

Taking the leading price and the champion title was a pair of 47kg lambs (pictured above) from Stuart Wood, Wollhillock, Skene. 

His winning pair sold for £150 a head (319,1p/kg) to the show’s judge Blair Duffton, Backmuir Trading, Keith.

Meanwhile the title of reserve champion was awarded to a pair of 41kg lambs from Angus Greenlaw, Sheep Park Farm, Bridge of Marnoch, Huntly.  These were also bought by the show judge for £120 a head (292.7p/kg).
