Knockenjig Ayrshires off to solid start at Carlisle
The sale of the Knockenjig (I’m bound to misspell that at least once today) is underway at Carlisle and so far its looking like a good solid start.
The second lot in the ring, Knockenjig Catkin 12, set the scene for the sale so far, being knocked down for 2000gns. This one is an October 2005-born entry and is by Meiklee Laught Victory Crown and calved on the 30th of January.
Then a few lots later Knockenjig Ida 14 sold at 2500gns. Again by Victory Crown, this one last calved in February 2008 andd was AI’dd in June to a Charolais sire.
Then at 2000gns Meikle Laught Suzie sodl having calved in November. A 2005-born heifer she gave 2208 litres in the first 65 days of her opening lactation.
