Knockenjig Ayrshires set for dispersal tomorrow

Tomorrow sees on of the UK’s leading herds of Ayrshire cattle come under than hammer as the Knockenjig herd is dispersed by David and Rosemary Dickie at Carlisle’s Borderway Mart.

Flicking through the catalogue makes for impressive reading, with 11 cows rated Excellent and another 76 ranked very good. With a herd average of 7782 kg and a calving interval of 393 days the herd is surely one of the most complete offerings of Ayrshires to ever come to the market.

Unfortunately I can’t be in Carlisle tomorrow, but rest assured I’ll be bringing you a full report just as soon as possible and hopefully will be able to bring you the highlights from the sale later tomorrow.
