In-lamb Suffolk sells for top price of 700gns at NWA

The inaugural evening prize show and sale of pedigree in-lamb sheep at North West Auctions saw a ringside full of buyers from throughout the northern counties. A feature of this sale was the prize show of in-lamb Suffolk sheep with a fantastic entry of quality sheep put before the judge, Miss Andrea Neal.
Champion In-lamb Suffolk NWA J36 Thursday 21st November 2013

The champion was awarded to a one crop ewe scanned with twins from R Batty, Kendal. The ewe has enjoyed many show successes with the most noticeable being the 2012 interbreed championship at the Westmorland County Show. She later sold for a top price of 700gns to K &and M Denby, Longtown.

Other notable prices achieved were 620gns for the second prize ewe scanned with twins from TA Blair, Thornton Cleveleys. Ewe lambs sold to 300gns for the first prize lamb from TA Blair.
