Lanark Texels hit 220,000gns

Yes you read the headline right the champion Texel at Lanark has just been sold for a staggering 220,000gns. That as you will all appreciate is a new UK record and world record – more on that later.

This one was Deveronvale Perfection from Graham Morrison. By Kelso Oxygen and out of  a dam by Knock Magnum. I only hope he lives up to his name! No news on the buyer(s) yet, but I’m banking on it being a syndicate of the top flocks. More to follow….

UPDATE – My suggestion that it would be a syndicate behind this one look’s to be wrong, the buyer is believed to be Jimmy Douglas buying for his Cairness flock, Aberdeenshire and acting alone on this one! Picture to come shortly.
