Lancaster dairy trade hits 2700gns

A top price of 2700gns was the highlight of Tuesday’s Lancaster dairy trade, with the overall average in excess of £2000.

Top sale of the day was for the champion heifer on the day, an Igniter daughter from David and Sheila Tomlinson. This one, bred from the Tomlinson’s Rolls line sold to A and B Bargh, Woodclose.

Second best was a 2500gns call for the reserve champion in the pre-sale show, Ingleview I J Dandy from Robert Butterfield. This was also taken by the Bargh family.

Then at 2200gns was Aliann Icefyre Monogram which sold to J A Greenhaugh buying on behalf of a client. A brace sold at 2100gns, the first of which was Corfield Ledgend Joy, the first prize cow on the day which sold to T A Dawson. Second at this money was Kirkwood Freeman Daphne which sodl to D J Wallbank.
