Limousin-cross heifer sells for £1012 at Skipton

A Limousin-cross heifer topped the bill at Skipton Auction Mart this week, selling for £1012.

 

Jimmy Baines, who has holdings in Trawden and Gisburn, Lancashire sold the 515 kg heifer to Cross Meats of Bacup.

 

Mr Baines also sold his title winning British Blue-cross heifer, weighing in at 480 kg for £967.20 to Paul Kendall of Kendall Farm Butchers.

The first prize 47 kg Mules and reserve prime lamb champions from Ken Throup, Silsdon Moor, went for £58.50/head to Paul Watson of Hellifield, buying on behalf of West Country Foods.
