Limousins dominate Royal Show beef classes
Beef breeds judging at this week’s Royal Show was dominated by Limousins, with the breed clinching all three major titles. Heading up the breed’s championship run were David and Mary Cormack with their outstanding homebred cow Newstart Upsydaisy.
By Ronick Iceman and out of Rivermead Rosebud, Upsydaisy was also in the Burke winning pair and the group which took the honours in the interbreed team of five competition.
Reserve spot in the individual interbreed was the Simmental winner, Popes Nelly’s Princess from Jimmy and Vicky Wood. This one is by Salisbury Challenger and out of homebred cow Popes Nelly’s Lulu.
