Livestock 2012 – Blythbridge’s Holstein Intermediate Championship

With ringside crowds gaining in number visibly as the afternoon progresses at Livestock 2012, Tom Kelly has picked out Blyth Farms’ May 2008-born Blythbridge Elegant Christabel (VG 87 2yr old) as Holstein Intermediate Champion. This former Champion Holstein heifer from last year’s Highland Show is on her first outing for 2012 and has already made her mark.
By Blythbridge Elegant Dundee and out of Ardgairney Mort Christabel 3 – both home-bred – this cow calved in June and saw RA Bown’s Richaven Goldwyn Irene close behind as the breed’s Reserve Intermediate Champion. Irene is by Braedale Goldwyn and out of Richaven Journalist Irene.
