Lockerbie store cattle in demand

Store cattle were in hot demand at Lockerbie yesterday, with 324 selling to a ringside of eager buyers.

Taking the top call was a Blonde corss from Messrs Braid at ÂŁ1180, while another from the same vendor, this time a Charolais cross sold to ÂŁ1140.

Topping the heifers was a Charolais cross from Messrs Davidson, Poldean, Moffat, at ÂŁ1010, while Messrs Fisher, Lairdlaugh, Springholm, sold a Limousin cross at ÂŁ945.
