Loosebeare take 6200gns bid on a sticky trade

On a trade which at best is sticky and at worst is almost non-existentthe Quick family have just traded Loosebeare Earl, a first prize winner by Haltcliffe Anzac at 6200gns to Mr Woodward. He was just the fifth bull of the morning to find a new home.

Following that was the breed champion from the Great Yorkshire earlier in the year Tomschoice Elgar. This Haltcliffe Vermount son stood third here yesterday and has a beef value of +28 and sold at the day’s top call so far and the first five figure sale of 13,000gns. He went to Will Corrie, Northern Ireland.

Trade has perked up a little, with the next bull in the ring Hartlaw Excaliber netting an even bigger bid. This Wilodge Tonka son is out of a Nenuphar cow and sold at 22,000gns.TS Lim Carlisle Lot 36.jpg

Then came Easegillhead Ecstatic, another by Tonka and this time out of a Rocky sired dam. He went away at 6800gns.
