Moira Holsteins reach 4100gns high
Moira’s sale of Holsteins on Monday saw a top call of 4100gns made for the champion from the pre-sale show, Audmore Goldwyn Burgandy from William Crawford, Co Fermanagh. This Braedale Goldwyn daughter sold following a franctic bidding battle, with the final bid coming via the telephone from Cyril and Martin Millar of the Glenleary herd, Coleraine.
Second best of the day was a 2650gns bid for the best from Clandeboye Estates, Clandeboye Pagewire Rosina, a Braedale Pagewire daughter which sold to David McClurg, Crossgar.
Then making 2550gns was Willifarm Davinia 330 from David Throne. Bred from two generations of 100t cows, she is by Regancrest Samuelo and sold to Jason Booth at Stewartstown.
And selling for 2450gns was one from Harry Patton and Sons, Newtownards. This was Ards motivator Mandy, a Denmire Mr Motivator daughter which sold to Richard Mackey, Dromore. Following that at 2420gns was Hilltara Champion Freda 2, from Sam McCormick, Bangor. She sold to George Anderson, Drumbo.
Selling for 2350gns was the reserve champion from the pre-sale show, Willofarm Rachel 22 from David Throne. Sired by Regancrest Samuelo she sold to William Heron, Newtownhamilton.
