Here are some more of the leading prices from Friday’s Texel sale at Carlisle, apologies for not getting any news here sooner.

At the second best call of the day at 12,000gns was a lamb from Messrs Boden and Davies Sportsmans flock (lot 730). This is a Cowal Rob Roy son out of a dam by Glenside Legacy and sold in a five way split. Taking shares in this were, J B Renwick and Sons, Procters Farm, Jimmy Douglas, Alistair Gault and Roger Strawbridge.Lot 730 - 12000gns -  1st Prize Ram Lamb and Reserve Overall Champion.jpgJust behind that at 11,500gns was a shearling tup from the Chave family’s Peacehay flock. This was Peacehay Razzle Dazzle, a son of Castlecairn Phoenix out of a dam by Lyonshall King of Clubs. This one was again shared with R and B Smith, Towcester buying half and the Chaves retaining half themselves.lot 417 Shearling Ram - 11500 gns.jpgThen making 10,000gns and again being shared was Milnbank Spunky from Robbie Wilson. This Glenside Razzle Dazzle son is out of a dam by Millar’s Outstanding and sold to Fiona MacTaggart, Sharon Bothwell and David Houghton.lot 710 - 10000 gns.jpgAt the same money and being split four ways was another of the Sportsmans lambs, this time a Rob Roy II son out of a Castlecairn Nile God dam. ET bred he sold to R D Fleming, Thomas Illingworth, Clark Farms and A L Campbell.lot 728 - 10000 gns.jpgSelling for 9000gns was Hull House Special Brew from John Mellin. This is by Hull House Rothchild and out of a dam by Hull House Ninety Nine. He has an index of 210 and was bought in a three way share by Douganhill Farms, Messrs Quick and Robert Osborne.783 - 9000 gns.jpgFollowing that at 8000gns was the very next lamb in the catalogue, Hull House Sam Whisky, again from Mr Mellin. Sired by Hull House Rothchild I, he is out of a Calybury Outlaw dam and has an index of 152.
