More Highland Show beef results
A few more of the beef breeds have completed their judging now and the championship in a strong show of Beef Shorthorns has gone to G L Riby with senior bull Elliot Bodacious, a Byland Gold Spear son out of D F Starlet 1K. This one is a an ET bred bull who’s full brother was the highest priced Shorthorn sold in Canada in 2006.
Reserve was the female champion Chapleton Duchess 690 from Donald Biggar. This one is a Winalot Big Mac daughter out of Lazy H J Future Duchess.
In the Highlands the championship went to Sir Michael Poland’s heifer Ban Righ of Mottistone. She is by Philip 2 of Auchentenny and out of Ban Righ 4 of Roisbheinn. Taking the reserve honours here were Iain and Heather McKay with their bull Adham 2 of Lagg. This one is by Angus of Lyntoun and out of Sisuidh 4 of Lagg.
Championship honours in the Simmental ring went to Gerald Smith with his cow Drumsleed Paige, a Beeches Kestrel daughter out of Drumsleed Gayle.
