More Highland Show sheep results
Judging has been progressing at a pace here at Inlgiston this morning, with many of the sheep breeds coming under the judges eyes.
In the strongest classes of the show, the Texels, the champion was an aged ewe from John Forsyth’s Glenside flock, Ayrshire. Reserve spot went to an aged tup from the Wight family’s flock from Midlock, Biggar.
Taking the Rouge title was an aged ewe from David Jane, Somerset, and Mr Jane also took the reserve spot with an aged ram.
And aged animals continued their winning ways in the Hampshire Downs with Jim and Patsy Cresswell’s aged tup taking top honours with their shearling ewe reserve.
Across in the Swaledales it was a win for the Hutchinson family with their aged ewe, while the Chaollais champion was a shearling ram from Willie and Carol Ingram, Aberdeenshire.
Bluefaced Leicester champion was a shearling tup from Messrs Hall and Wight, with the reserve being a ewe from Andrew Brown.
Lifting the Hebridean title was an aged ewe from Donald MacLeod, reserve here was another aged from the same class from C D Laurie.
