More Perth Simmental prices and pictures

Two bulls sold for 9000gns, the first of which was the reserve senior champion from W D Hazelton. Ranfurly Talisman is by Carnkern Titan and out of South Park King Kong Weikel. Having had an impressive show season back home in Northern Ireland taking championships at Ballymena, Armagh, Newry and Clougher, he got knocked down to commercial breeder R Martyn, Bridge of Cally.

Next in at 9000gns was the senior champion from Billy and Michael Robson. Kilbride Farm Tully is by Kilbride Farm Newry and out of a homebred cow, he sold to S Knox and Son, Alyth, Perthshire.

It was a first time visit to Perth for Welsh breeder R E Jones and he went back home with a second place ticket to the champion and a call of 8500gns from Irish breeder Garett Behan of the Clonagh herd, Port Laois. Banwy T-Rex is a Sterling Nelson son, which goes back to Sterling Flint and is out of Skerrington Hyacinth 8.

Cheltenham-based Boddington Estates came in at 8000gns to secure Boswell Tornado from Douglas Smith. This Beeches Kestrel son is out of a homebred cow going back to Preston boomerang and had stood first.

Iain and Jimmy Green had a pretty impressive day’s trade with their strong of bulls carrying their Corskie prefix. Topping their trade was Corskie Topgun by Burghbridge Lane and out of Corskie Nicky. He sold to J B Aitken of Preston Farms, West Lothian.
