National Dairy Show NEC Claire Daw takes Senior Handler class

By Simon Wragg

In this morning’s senior showmanship class – where 10 handlers came forward to compete under the scrutiny of judge Rebecca Jarvis of the Braimber Herd of Holsteins – handlers were put through their paces being instructed to take control of another competitors animal.

After a long period of deliberation Miss Jarvis has put a clearly delighted Claire Daw (18) of the Bluegrass prefix first praising her for total relaxation of both handler and heifer that gave her the advantage during the show. Into second goes Clare Miles (20) and Jenny Partridge (26) in third.
