Perth bull sales 2011: Beef Shorthorn championship results

The female champion title and Beef Shorthorn Cattle Society Trophy was awarded to Mr C. Lowther’s heifer Lowther Lily 266 (lot 245).  This one is by Blelack Minstrel and out of Lowther Lily and has a SRI of +10 and a TSI of +10. She has run with LS Arctic from 18 July to the sale and was first in her class at the Great Yorkshire Show.

Reserve went to Mr J Porter’s heifer Uppermill Rothes Jazz (lot 204).  This one is by Podehole Yeoman and out of Rothes Jenny and has a SRI and TSI of +14. She was scanned on 15 August, three months in-calf to Trunley Zobra. Her dam was second junior cow at Glenarm.

The overall male champion title has gone to Uppermill Beckham (lot 90).  This one is by Uppermill Jinks and out of Uppermill Slim Bothwell; he has an SRI of +21 and a TSI of +21.  His sire, Uppermill Junks, has sired 1st, 2nd and 3rd prize winners at Glenarm show.  While his grandsire, Hurtiso Caan, sired junior champion and reserve hunior champion at Perth 2009.

Reserve went to Mr D Alexander’s Craigfaddock Capello (lot 88).  This one is by Chapelton Wildfire, and out of Craigfaddock Lady Annetta 2nd.  He has an SRI of +12 and a TSI of +17.
