British Turkey to feed troops
British Turkey is working with UK charity Help for Heros this year, supplying turkeys to its recovery centres across the country.
Help for Heroes’ four recovery centres support soldiers who have suffered life-changing injuries by helping them adjust to civilian life. The turkeys will be sent to the centres at Tedworth House, Colchester, Catterick and Plymouth.
Paul Kelly, chairman of British Turkey said that he hoped the contribution make Christmas at the recovery centres more special. “We are delighted to be supporting such a great charity as Help for Heroes.”
David Richmond CBE, a defence recovery officer at the charity said the donation “embodies the spirit of thousands of people across the UK who have joined together and created the Help for Heroes phenomenon”.
“I have no doubt that there will be smiles on the faces of all our Recovery Centre residents when they tuck into this festive feast.”
