Premier Nutrition buys Roses Nutrition

Micro-ingredients supplier Premier Nutrition has acquired the business of Roses Nutrition, expanding its presence in the premix market for pigs and layers.
Premier’s managing director Alistair Cross (pictured) said the purchase was an important milestone in the company’s plans to grow its core UK base.
“Roses Nutrition is a long-standing client of Premier,” he said. “They specialise in providing high-quality nutrition expertise and premix solutions, predominantly to home-mix customers in northern England and southern Scotland.”

Paul Blanchard, who owned and ran Roses Nutrition with his wife Jane since 2006, described Premier Nutrition as the “obvious long-term partner” to develop its nutritional products and technical services.
He added that the UK pig and layer industries both have a robust long-term future, where the focus is on optimising the genetic potential of the stock.
Premier Nutrition was founded in 1991 and is owned by AB Agri, the agriculture group of Associated British Foods.
