Royal Norfolk beef title to Simmental
Local breeders Andrew and Hayley Clarke have continued their winning ways with their Simmental team, with senior bull Heathmount Tristar taking the interbreed title under Danny Wyllie this morning.
This one, bred by David and Lesley Sapsed, is by Heathbrow Mischief and out of Awl Starlet and has previously been male champion at the National Simmental Show, breed and reserve interbreed at Herts County, reserve interbreed at Newark and breed champion at South of England. He is senior herd sire to the Williams herd of 30 cows and now heads to Kent Show.
Reserve overall was Charolais cow Weybread Blanc from Roger and Margaret Harper and Lee and Donna McInnes. This Weybread Reece daughter is out of Weybread Olivia which was also dam of Weybread Tiffany, interbreed winner at Norfolk two years ago. She was breed champion at Suffolk and Hadleigh shows earlier this season and was shown with her bull calf at foot by Grove Victor.
Taking the pairs title was the Simmental duo, with the Sussex pairing reserve, while in the team of three competition the Sussex trio were victorious ahead of the Simmental team.
