Royal Norfolk Show 2012: Saddleback sow reigns supreme

2862012 RNS Pig Champ.JPGIn the pig rings the title of overall supreme pig champion was awarded to a Saddleback sow from John and Mary Wreakes, Doncaster.

Judge Robert Swanton from Overton, Marlborough, awarded the silverware to this August 2007 born sow – Victoria Lottie 306 – which is by Prestcombe Grand Duke 5 and out of Victoria Lottie 110.
The Wreakes had previous success with Lottie two years ago when she won reserve overall at the same fixture.  She is in-pig to her eighth litter and will go on to the Yorkshire Show in July.

Standing in reserve was a September 2011 born Welsh gilt – Owersby Dainty Girl – from Tony Schofield, North Owersby, Lincs.

This homebred gilt is by Gillbeck Arthur and out of Owersby Dainty Girl. She will now go on to the Yorkshire Show in July.
