Sarkley Limousin females to 11,000gns

Goldenjen, from one of the Sarkley herd’s most successful cow families, made 11,000gns when mid-Wales breeders E H Pennie and Sons offered a selection of heifers at Welshpool Livestock Market.
Goldenjen, a June 2011-bred daughter of Wilodge Vantastic, is out of a Haltcliffe Ullswater dam and has a top 1% Beef Value of LM+43. She was bought by G E Davies and Son,
Sarkley Gabrianne (above), a Ronick Hawk sired heifer with a Beef Value of LM+34, is from another of the herd’s top producing families and made 8500gns to local buyer Colin Lewis.
The Nenuphar daughter Sarkley Fine (above), out of a Haltcliffe Egidius dam, made 8000gns to an undisclosed buyer while the bid was matched by Andrew Ewing who bought Sarkley Gazola for a client. Gazola is by Rocky and has a top 5% Beef Value of LM+39.
Richard Bartle bought himself a smart Vantastic heifer. He paid 5200gns for Sarkley Georgette – bred out of a Mas Du Clo dam and with a high ranking Beef Value of LM+41.
Andrew Ewing secured a second heifer for his client paying 5000gns for Sarkley Fludy, a Salomon daughter out of a Ronick Gains dam. Also paying 5000gns was Colin Lewis who claimed Sarkley Fomelda, a Waindale Potential daughter.
