Scotch Mule lambs sell to £156/head at United Auctions
Scotch Mule and Blackface ewe lambs sold to a high of £156/head at Stirling’s annual show and sale on the weekend (5 September). Topping trade was a pen of non-accredited Mule ewe lambs from W Gray, Drumnessie. Meanwhile the champion pen of Scotch Mules from Lord Graham, Gartincarber, made £148.
These were bought by G Smith, Towiemore. Averages for accredited Scotch Mule ewe lambs were down just £6.58 on the year, levelling at a respectable £87.97. Accredited Blackface ewe lambs saw a slightly bigger dip of £8.12 to average £59.62.
