Selling on well at Willsbro at 20,000gns top
Trade here at the Willsbro sale is continuing in a steady vein, with a large portfolio of buyers spending wisely on some of the breed’s best cow families.
Trading at 1900gns was Willsbro B Allen Angel, a Magor Bolivia Allen daughter out of Bidlea Shottle Angel. Her full brother, Willsbro Anzac sold straight afterwards at 1100gns.
And next up was Willsbro Jeeves Angelique, a Ked Outside Jeeves daughter out of Sterndale Manat Angelique. She sold away at 1500gns.
After that Willsbro Howie Apricot (lot 9), a Kerndtway Howie daughter out of Airebank Logrey Sam Apricot was knocked down at 2100gns.
The next lot, Willsbro Shottle Ashlyn. This Shottle daughter out of Riverdane Gold Ashlyn, a Braedale Goldwyn daughter, herself a daughter of Smiddiehill Durm Ashlyn (intermediate champion at the All Breeds Show in February), was sold away for the best price of the day so far at 20,000gns to Sahara Holsteins. (apologies for the poor pic – the ring isn’t the easiest to photograph!)
